Who We Are
A Family Called to Serve in Quebec
We are Emanuel and Kauzy Lara, a Mexican missionary family serving with UIM International. God called us from Mexico to Quebec, Canada, with a clear purpose: to share the love of Jesus Christ with First Nations and Hispanic communities.
Our ministry is centered on building genuine relationships, serving with compassion, and walking alongside people as they grow in their faith. We believe that every person deserves to hear the hope of the Gospel and experience the transforming love of Christ.

Manawan, Quebec
Summer Bible Camp – Manawan
Each summer, we serve the Atikamekw community of Manawan through a week-long Bible camp filled with joy, learning, and the love of Christ. Our prayer is that every child comes to know Jesus and discovers God’s purpose for their life.
Beyond the Camp
Serving Throughout the Year
Ministry doesn’t end when camp is over. We walk alongside families year-round, building lasting relationships rooted in Christ’s love.
Visiting Families, Sharing Hope
We visit homes in the community, pray with those facing difficult circumstances, and spend time with children, youth, and adults alike. These personal connections are where real ministry happens.
Growing Together in Faith
We lead Bible studies, provide personal encouragement, and walk alongside individuals as they deepen their relationship with God. Discipleship is not a program — it’s a relationship.
Walking Alongside the Community
We come alongside families with practical support, encouragement, and prayer. Whether it’s helping newcomers find a church family or simply being present during difficult seasons, we are committed to showing Christ’s love in tangible ways.

Serving the Hispanic Community
God has opened doors for us to serve the growing Hispanic community in Quebec. We come alongside families, lead Bible studies, and provide spiritual encouragement to those navigating life in a new country.
For many newcomers, finding a Christ-centered community is essential. We strive to help Hispanic families connect with a church family where they can grow in their faith, build friendships, and experience the love of Christ in a welcoming environment.

Among First Nations and immigrant communities in Quebec, there is an ongoing spiritual need that calls for faithful presence, compassionate service, and the hope of the Gospel.
Many First Nations communities in Quebec have limited access to consistent Gospel witness. Immigrant families often arrive searching for hope, community, and spiritual guidance. Our ministry exists to bridge these gaps — bringing the message of Jesus Christ through genuine relationships, practical service, and faithful presence in the places God has called us to serve.
